Help with bar spacing?
« on: February 07, 2008, 08:47:21 PM »
I'm thinking of getting this cage for two rats I'm soon getting. They will be does, so they'll be small. But I'm not sure if the bar spacing is too big.  So I'd love some opinions :] And yes, I will be modifying the bottom. And no, I won't be using any of those supplies. Thanks!

Forget the bar spacing for now...what are the dimensions of that cage?  It looks too small for 2 rats.

31" L X 17.5" W X 28.5" H.

We used the calculator and it can actually hold 4 rats. It's bigger in real life.

It's hard to tell from a picture, but if it's 1" x 3", the girls will be able to get out.

Wow, that is bigger than it looks!  But Dearpie is right...it looks to be 1" spacing which little girls can get out of.

That's what I thought it was. I'll have to modify it or something.
