First Attempt at a Cube-*Pics Added*
« on: May 18, 2008, 01:52:04 AM »
:)

I kinda messed up with the front part. Whoops.  :yelcutelaugh:
All this I made tonight to go in the cage tomorrow. I still have one more hammock to sew and I need to make liners. I'll be sure to share pictures when they go in the cage.

They're nice! To tell you the truth, I wouldn't have really noticed that you messed up. At first I thought that you were just being extra creative.  :yelcutelaugh:

They really do compliment eachother well. :) So do bright blues/greens.

Here are the pictures. :)

My cage needs a lot more stuff, but since it's so awkward to hang stuff from, and it doesn't have enough floor space I don't know what to add. Suggestions?

See if youcan add some more floor space maybe?  I don't know where to find make-shift shelves, but I hear it's possible!

That is adorable!  I love all the pink

I highly suggest a bigger wheel... that one is the size I use for my mice.  The largest wheel you can possibly find is your best bet; 11" - 12" is best.

Love that cage!  :thumbsup2: Is that a flight cage?

Maybe some pant-leg tubes?  (or fabric tubes to match)

I put that one in there a while ago to see if they would use it, they haven't touched it. They're actually afraid of it. I should probably just take it out...lol.

They *might* use a bigger one, if it's too small they wont touch them

First, applause to anyone who can just sit down and say "I'm gonna make some hammocks and cubes".  I would have no idea where to start. I am crafty and creative but just don't have the sewing gene, lol! I love the orange and pink, and would have never noticed you "messed up" on the cube. I have a suggestion on the levels for the cage.  I have an FN, an SP Exotic and a SP 3 level ferret (purple bottom).  I have used baskets that you can get at Walmart in a 3 pack for $1.00 - $2.00.  They come in small, like for rubberbands or paperclips, and lrg for things like pencils.  They are ones you could put in a drawer of a desk to organize.  I found them in the aisle with the kitchen sink stuff and wastebaskets.  I use zipties to attach them to the sides of the cage (they have holes in the sides) so that they can climb from bottom to top or hang out in.  What's nice is that you can rearrange them whenever you want.
