Problem.
« on: November 16, 2008, 01:17:16 PM »
Last night I heard some rattleing of cage bars. I thought it was either CHarlie messing around or the birds being spazzical as usual. So I simply ignored it. But I heard some other noises so I look over and he's crawling around ontop of his cage and pushing stuff off! (I have some stuff up there  for him to play on/with.) Now, I just figured sine I just opened his cage that I forgot to close it. Wrong.

He's opened it about 5 times so far today.

I want him in his cage. But once I fix that will he stop chewing on the bars? I don't want him to hurt his little teeth.

I use large binder clips to make sure my doors stay shut on two of my cages. I don't know if you have doors that you can put a clip on easily, but its worth a try if you do.

Do you only have one rat? If so, maybe he is bored. You should get him a "brother"  :).
