Please help get the word out; there are only 6 weeks to get this task done. Contact Joanne Kehoe, Operations Director, or contact the Dairyland Race Track Adoption Center direct at (262)612-8256. Joanne Kehoe is NOT the Operations Director, she a Chicago resident who owns greyhounds, and had her name and number were used in this email without her knowledge. 312 is a downtown Chicago number, NOT Kenosha, WI.  Do not contact this number.

This is the direct adoption page of the Dairyland Track. You can also go through any of the local greyhound adoption groups that will be working with the Dairyland track.

The articles in Chicago papers all said that the dogs will not be euthanized as rumored, but will be either adopted, go to another track (the top 30%), or go with owners. They estimate that leaves about 500 dogs for adoption. Still, adopting a retired racing grey is a great cause. :)

Greyhounds Only is a great Chicago-area greyhound rescue who has a lot of great fosters who do rehabilitation work with the retired racing greyhounds, and do adoption days all over the Chicago and suburban area.
