Rehoming Two Healthy Cats-Palm Coast, FL

FELIX- We have a handsome, 13 year-old, orange and white domestic shorthair kitty with stunning gold eyes that we are trying to re-home. His name is Felix, yes as in “Felix the Cat”! It is with great sadness as we look to rehome him. We took him in 9 years ago when we were looking for a barn cat at the time, and his family had had a new baby. He has since become an indoor-only king of the castle! Unfortunately, are moving and can’t take either him, nor our other cat, with us to where we are going, especially with the 3-day car ride ahead. He has a clean bill of health and is up to date on shots. Though he is an indoor-only cat, he loves to be let out onto our enclosed porch and bask in the sun. He is very good in that he never claws the screens. We are looking for a permanent, indoor-only home for him. Felix is a laid back fellow who prefers to just sit in the sun or in someone’s lap. He would not do well in a hectic household or with kids, though he has never shown any child aggression. Felix would be an ideal companion for an older individual, or someone without children. This cat has a lot of love left to provide for the right person/people! Rehoming fee is negotiable. It is more important to us that he go to a loving, forever home. He will come with his cat carrier. He is neutered.

SMUDGE-We have a beautiful, 9 year-old, white domestic longhair female kitty with winsome green eyes that we are trying to re-home. Her name is Smudge, as she had a gray spot on her forehead that she has now grown out of, when she was a kitten. Unfortunately, our older cat, Felix, picks on her and it is unfair for both of them to constantly be under such stress. We are also moving and unfortunately we can’t take either her, nor our other cat, Felix, with us to where we are going, especially with the 3-day car ride ahead She has a clean bill of health and is up to date on shots. She is a perfect litter box user and makes sure to bury after she goes. She loves to be brushed, sit in the window or out on an enclosed porch and bask in the sun, play with her toys, and roll around in catnip. We are looking for a permanent, indoor-only home for her. Smudge would be an ideal companion for an older individual, as she loves to be spoiled, and we would love to know she was being spoiled. We would prefer she be an only cat in the household so that she doesn't run the risk of being beat up upon again and so that she can receive all the love her new person/people have to offer. Rehoming fee is negotiable. It is more important to us that she go to a loving, forever home. She will come with her cat carrier. She is spayed.

Please help! We are almost out of time and need to find these two a home. It's not a matter of "we're moving and have decided just to dump them"; the family members we're moving in with have cats of their own and they're at their limit. The rats are caged and don't take up much room, which is the only reason why we can keep them. But, we really need to find a home for our cats. We will be willing to transport almost anywhere within the state for the right home.
