Healthy Dog Treat Recipes?
« on: November 24, 2010, 01:37:56 PM »
I was wanting to make some dog treats for my aunts dog. He only gets the healthiest food etc so I am trying to find a healthy treat recipe. I have never had a dog so not sure what ingredients are ok and which are fine but in moderation.

For example all the treats I have found require lots of flour, is that ok?

If anybody has any good recipes I would love to give them a try!

my dogs LOVE dried liver treats (will be making some tomorrow with the turkey giblets)

I boil the liver etc for about 30 mins to make sure it is cooked all the way through, then just cut them into small pieces bake in oven or toaster oven at low heat (250 degrees) until they are dried out and crunchy.
