Female cape/grey-headed parrot: Sharon, MA
« on: July 07, 2011, 02:21:45 PM »
My mother is seeking to rehome her cape parrot and I have her permission to try to get the word out.

Miss Lucy is an 11 year old cape (suahelicus ssp.), hatched on June 13, 2000. She is fairly quiet and a little reserved, but she enjoys human attention and contact. She is NOT a screamer, a plucker, or an unprovoked biter. She's also really not that destructive compared to many other parrots, but I'm sure the potential does lurk in her. All in all, she's a much easier bird than most, but she isn't getting the attention she needs and deserves.

Adoption fee applies.

Why would an "adoption fee" apply?  If you have a pet parrot you need to rehome, you're blessed with good fortune if you can find an appropriate caring home willing to adopt.  "Adoption fees" are charged by rescue organizations and the like, for good reason.
