Best way to ship a cage?
« on: September 03, 2011, 09:45:34 PM »
I THINK this should go in The "home Squeak Home" if not sorry!
Ok so I know NOTHING about shipping big items like cages. What's the best way to go about this? And how do I find out how much shipping is? I just am really dumb with shipping big items
Yep my main question is how do I find out how much the shipping is. Like I know depending on the person's zip code it would be different. Is there an online place where you can put the weight of the package in and then the zip or something?
Thanks!

Actually with fedex and UPS when I got ready to ship an old Double Ferret Nation I got (large cage) to a lady who bought it the weight had nothing to do with it. It was the zip code and how large of a box it would go in (so length, depth and  of it height when flattened to smallest size)

They gave me a shipping quote by just calling, giving them the measurements and the zip code of the location. It was so much the lady decided to take the 3hr drive and come get it. It was over 80.00+ to ship it only 3hrs away. Crazy!
