Food change
« on: November 07, 2011, 06:07:13 PM »
Peru eats Acana kibble. I've been researching different foods for quite awhile. When I was feeding him, I noticed Acana is only 65% meat! 35% veggies! Guess I didn't check it before. I know it's a good food, but that doesn't satisfy me.

So, if I'm switching him anyway, I've decided to go with canned. I've decided to go with Nature's Variety Instinct. It's 95% meat 5% veggies. I don't think he drinks as much as he should so I'm hoping this will be a positive step. I have some on hold at the dog/cat health food store and will pick it up later this week.

Let's hope he likes it! (he'll usually eat anything)

That sounds like a great switch! Good choice. :) My kitties love that canned food, especially duck, beef and rabbit. Ingesting more moisture will make a world of difference on the inside.

Peru is now eating a complete NV canned diet. At first he didn't want it, but now he's looking forward to feeding time!
