I do mine anywhere from 6x6 to 6x8. But I'm using mine for a single male mouse.

thanks guys!  I'm excited to have someone to sew for again :)

I have a single male and I did these ones 8x10.  I could definitely go smaller, though; I'm used to sewing for my previous group of five females.

Not yet!  I just got him this weekend so he's still a bit shy.

Do you mind if I ask how you made the four way tunnel hammock? Do you have a tutorial or anything? Those look FUN!

if you go back a page, there was a link posted to the instructions for the 4-way tube, but its all in Dutch I believe. The pictures are fairly helpful though.

I'd been reading about vintage sewing machines on the internet, and in a crazy snap decision, I decided to hunt myself down a sewing machine.  So, yesterday, I checked craigslist and found a supposed in working condition 1929 Singer 66 for $100 with its sewing cabinet.  I figured the cabinet was likely to be worth $100 even if the machine required repair.  Well, after a fun road trip, I now own a Singer 66 that can sew.  And, here's my proof, my newest hammock.

And, here's Patches modelling her new hammock.  And, yes that's my "new" sewing machine in the background.

Okay I'm home and ready to post more pics!

The first pocket I ever made! (A few days ago  ;))

And some hammocks for the NTRR (They're too small for Jack and Riley)

I have two of these pink and green ones.

I've started doing a Quilt style on my all fleece hammocks. It looks amazing! I love it

017 by KD4714, on Flickr This was the first time I tried the "quilt" style so it's a little wonky lol.
This is all i've made recently, but i'll be making more tonight  ;D

Also I forgot to mention if you've made liners recently you can post those too!

This quilting type sewing is AWESOME! I'm honestly thinking about trying it RIGHT NOW! If it holds up, I'd love to start selling that in my shop. They seem like they would hold up really really well against chewing. I mean... they would nearly have to chew each individual square, right? ( I know this is late.)

@THScam, well i haven't tried those hammocks because i'm giving them to a rescue, but i have cage liners that are quilted and they haven't touched them (with their teeth lol). Though mine aren't chewers anyway really.... BUT i've heard people say it keeps there rats from chewing less, you should give it a try for sure!

It does sort of work. They get through it eventually, but it does take them longer! I quilted a cube once- they still ripped down one of the walls! That's teamwork for you  ;)

Hey, I have a Singer 16-66 from a long time back, passed down from my grandma. It's a portable, with original case and instruction book, has had the cord/pedal replaced. It's great! Built to last.

I need to make a couple of cubes for the girls, but I'm terrible at it.  :BlueDumboSmileTongue: Of course the rats don't care if they don't come out right.  Actually I think I might try a triangle/pyramid thing instead of square this time--fewer seams might help!

Its cotton on the outside and fleece on the inside.  I found the material in the remnants bin at Hobby Lobby.
