Rescue     Rehabilitate     Rehome

We are a NEO shelter (in my area it's called that at least, Necessary Euthenasia Only) and we strive to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome rats in our area.

All of our ratties are vetted before they find their forever homes (that includes checkups, medication/treatments as needed and alteration.)

Each rat has their own profile that is sent home with them as well, which includes all vet records, notes while in the rescue, and a biography (favorite foods, toys, games, etc.) They are also sent home with a pound of food, hammock, snuggle sack, travel cage and any items that he was relinquished with.

We do take donations to help run our rescue, however we earn most of our money by making various toys and accessories to sell at trade shows. Other than that, the rest of the funds come from my pocket, or the other founders'.

If you are in or around the middle Tennessee area and are looking to find your forever rattie, feel free to message me or contact me through our website.

If you need to find a new home for your fuzzies, trust us to help them on their way to their new home. Each prospective parent is screened before the adoption process even begins. We also perform house calls to ensure the health and happiness of our placed rats.

**Update**

Rattitude Rescue will be taking in the rest of the rats left at Williams-Young Animal Center in Knoxville this Saturday (8/27) and we are asking anyone in the area to either volunteer or foster some of these fuzzies.

We will have a quarantine process in which they will stay at Rattitude, but once that is complete, we will need fosters.

If you are too far away to give us aid, you can visit our site for information on donating supplies.

Rattitude Rescue is still up and running! We have many babies up for adoption as well as some older ratties that need just as much love. All information can be found on our Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Rattitude-Rescue/245190925516201) or on our blog thread here on GM (http://www.goosemoose.com/rfc/index.php?topic=4090287.msg4936471#msg4936471)

***UPDATE***

We are quickly moving forward with our efforts to rehome our rats. We've been in a situation where we're unable to take in more rats for the past few months. We're taking huge steps in the coming months with adoption fairs, shows and events so hopefully all of our rats will find their forever homes.

We've been named Rescue of the Month over at The Travelin' Rat so that has put our name out there for a bit more word of mouth. One of our girls is going home because of it!

We do have many babies up for adoption, but our older rats need loving homes as well. As stated in the post above, you can see all of our rats on our website or our blog thread here on GM.
