« on: February 15, 2012, 04:32:42 PM »
The shelter I adopted Dally from just posted this on their page so I felt the need to share it here for any other dog owners that feed any of these treats.

ALERT>>>>>>>>ATTENTION>>>>>>> At the Adoption Center this weekend we had 2 Dogs that became gravely ill after being given treats from the list of recall treats from below:::::: These treats are made in China and they are linked to killing pets and/or making them very ill:::::: Waggin Train, Canyon Creek Ranch, Dogswell, Booda Bones--Aspen Pet--SOLD BY PET EDGE, Milo's Kitchen, American Kennel Club, Hartz, Dingos Beefeaters, Kirkland--SOLD AT COSTO, Cadet, Sargents, Ever Pet ($$General), Home Pet 360--SOLD AT FOOD LION, Walgreen's new brand--Simple, The Kingdom Pets. The staff at the Adoption Center request that the above treats not be donated to our Adoption Center due to recalls and the sickness of our animals. WE ARE ASKING FOR MILK BONE DOG BISCUITS, OLD ROY DOG BISCUITS OR ANY BISCUITS MADE IN THE U.S.A....NOT MADE IN CHINA..THANK YOU!!!

Thanks, Just passed it along. My parents use Milo's kitchen treats, so this is a good heads up.

You're quite welcome. Any time this sort of thing pops up I notify whoever I can.

Ol' Roy has recently had a lot of recalls, as well.

Forgot to edit out the shelter's comments on needing different treats, but I let them know that as well. Thanks for pointing it out though!
