Forgot to add a question: is it big enough to even house mice or a hamster?

EDIT: And what's the ideal bar spacing for housing mice and for housing a hamster?

These are the dimensions: 16 x 16 x 14 . That doesn't sound big at all to me. Honestly, for the same price you could make a large bin cage that would provide much more room for them.

This is for my sister's hamster btw (and she said she wants to get 3 girl mice because my niece loved the ones I had). I told her we could make a big bin cage, but she doesn't like how they look.
He's currently in this cage:

There are some pretty slick bin cages, maybe you could show her some pictures of them on the internet that are well made so she can see that they can look good. You could use colorful translucent plastic and it would look nice.

Also, I'd try to reason with her that what's better for the hamster is what she should be caring about, rather than what is visually pleasing.

Good luck!

Ok, I'll look for some pictures and show her. Any ideas on what size bin?

I'd go with at least a 20 gallon sized bin (80 quart), but you can always go bigger if you like.

Ok, thanks. I know nothing about hamsters so I didn't know what to do about a bigger cage. I just knew that his current one is too small for him.
