too good to eat out of a dish

My girls often ignore a little dish of whatever soft treat I put right in front of them. But the minute I put some on my finger, its like they haven't eaten in forever and can't get enough.
It cracks me up every time. ;D
I assume lots of rats behave this way, but we tease them and call them spoiled princesses. I imagine them having conversations among themselves about how their training on the humans is going nicely.

This explains SO much!! My girls will only go and eat their nightly treat when I've given them enough. I.E. One gerber baby puff is no longer acceptable. Now it's 3. And they will not budge until they get it because they know Mom will cave :D
