Swollen Genitals on Female

My precious rattie Basil has one side of her genitals swollen. It's more like a lump really, it's round and goes out from her body about half an inch. Half of it is covered with hair and the other half is not. I can't find any info on what might be wrong with her.. I noticed it two days ago. Any ideas??

I would hate to try and guess. Best thing would be to get her to the vet as soon as you can. :(

Do rats have bartholin's glands? They are close to the outside of the vagina and usualy just contribute to lubrication in people, but can get a bit "zit" (cyst) which is of course quite painful! If nothing else, do have it checked out. I know with people they sometimes say lots of hot baths and stuff and see what happens, but it's I'm sure much harder for your little friend to say what's going on!
I don't think with swelling and the fact that it's so outside that even if that was it that warm compresses would work. Just don't panic quite yet!
