Veganomicon is a really good one. I also really like the forks over knives cookbook. I would let you borrow them but I have them both on my kindle, sorry.

I was vegan for about 5 years....I'm now an omnivore again, but my FAVORITE cookbook was Veganomicon.  WONDERFUL.  I still cook from it a lot!  Plus, I love Post Punk Kitchen online.....lots of good stuff!

I like Vegan with a vengeance, & the new farm vegetarian cookbook (it's not completely vegan but it has plenty of things in it that are vegan).

I've been vegan basically my entire life (though I still eat butter because the fake stuff scares me  :yelcutelaugh:) & though I have some cookbooks I like I usually don't make a lot of things in them, I usually just invent stuff, &/or modify recipes to make them vegan.

I don't care for a lot of vegan recipes because I'm not a big soy advocate (& a lot of vegan recipes require tons & tons of soy).  I eat it sometimes (because it tastes yummy :D) but not very often.  In my opinion I don't need it, & I haven't died yet even though I don't eat it much lol.

I'm not vegan, but often eat on the vegan side (especially in the past) and have had partners who are.  You might be surprised how good even the internet is with finding good, specific recipies.  Then you can create a binder of your own with them printed out!  (That's what I often do with recipies!)

Good luck!

I've gotten a few interesting ones from the library (vegan with a vengeance, Post Punk Kitchen), but these days I pretty much stick to online sites that I love. Vegweb.com has a great user collection with ratings, Yummly .com is good (not vegan - but type what you're looking for with "vegan" and you almost always get some great hits), and my new fave OhSheGlows.com (been making 1 recipe or more off that website for the past few weeks).

I gave it one go but improvised a bit (used a can of bean soup - big mistake), but also thought it was a bit too rubbery. I'm planning on making it again but cutting the wheat gluten down by half.
