Rat in Southwest Michigan needs to be rescued
« on: October 20, 2012, 06:24:18 PM »
My friends teenage daughter called me today to inform me that their lone remaining rat is living in the cold garage because the house is flea infested. She also says she would like to permanently give him away because the other animals do not like him. I live in Chicago in my uncles's home and am not allowed to bring in any more new rats. Does anyone know of a rescue that can help?

I run Yale Road Adoptables in southeast MI - can you put me in touch? If I can't make the road trip right away, I know someone in St. Joe who may be able to take him until I can get over there.

It's getting down into the 30s at night here!

I believe so. When I called the number I was given, a man told me they'd found a home. :)
