next week! I've got my hammocks sewn and my accessories gathered, but I'm not in the mood to decorate for Christmas yet--neither my house nor the rats'.  :yelcutelaugh: But next week!

So cute! All of my Christmas themed stuff had to be tossed last year, so I need to stock up again. I sense a shopping spree next weekend, after payday hits  :cheeky:

That looks awesome! I'm still refusing to buy anything Christmas-ey until December. Except I did go black friday shopping a bit, but really who can pass up those deals? But Their cage will be all decorated for Christmas eventually!

Notice that hanging stack of presents and candy canes bird toy! I got that at Petsmart I've worked there for 5 years and we've never had any Christmas stuff for the rats but this year they have the cutest stuff you guys!

Those gingerbread men chew toys and the wooden tree and star chew toys. Seriously! Adorable Christmas cage stuff!

My son and I went to Petsmart yesterday afternoon and got the present and candy cane bird toy, a plush santa doggy toy, and a some red/green cat toys.  He is sooooo excited about decorating our home and the rat girls' home for Christmas! (He's 4.)  Petco is closer to us than Petsmart, so we usually go there for bedding, etc, so thanks for the  head's up on the toys!  I had been in Petco for litter earlier in the weekend and they don't have anything like that (or, didn't yet).

Definitely cute. I am doing more of a winter themed cage than just a holiday themed one.

Here's mine! Petco Rat Manor, three ladies.

full:

I made the green pass-through hammock and I bought the envelope one from Chelsea's--my first ever hammock purchase! Couldn't resist it--too cute!

top:

I'm quite sure my girls will just assume that the diet coke box with the crinkle shred in it is just a 3rd litter box, so it may not last long.

bottom:

I'm a huge fan of the dollar store santa hat turned tunnel thing.  I'm not sure you can tell, but I cut a slit in the top of the hat right before it meets the bars on the back end, so they can crawl right through, if that makes sense.

thanks! I love it! I feel like my cage has less impact, decor-wise, since I don't use liners, but it's fun all the same. I have another set of Christmas hammocks to rotate with, so we'll be in Christmas decor all month long!

I just posted in the super pet cage thread, but I think it suits here, too. c:

I have mine all done up for Christmas. I wish I had Kaytee or Carefresh white bedding, but maybe another time.

I made all the hammocks myself.

Oh I love that skull Christmas fabric, Drowsy!

I washed and ironed all my holiday fabric now all I have to do is cut and sew. Wish me luck  ::)

These cages look awesome!  :o I'm so jealous!  ;D
My rats can destroy a freshly-decorated cage in under 15 minutes (the hammocks I got in the summer swap, for example? Chewed to bits already)...so, sadly, I'm not able to decorate too elaborately!

I got an itch to drag the DFN outside and hose it down at midnight the night before last.  It was cold and rainy, and I was sick, and I immediately regretted the decision as soon as I got it down the stairs!  But oh well, at least it's really clean now!!!   :BlueDumboSmileTongue:  But afterwards I was so over it I only had the energy to decorate the top half.  I'll get to the bottom as soon as I feel better.  So, for now, here's the top!

It's a little bit late, but here is my Christmas cage. I rearranged it yesterday to add in some new hammocks and Christmas presents.
