Male or female mice?
« on: November 07, 2013, 05:16:37 PM »
Oops! Wrong section!

A co-worker that knows I have pet rats asked me for advice about mice. I don't know much about these guys and prefer my cat-sized male rats.:) I recommended a lot of the things my guys enjoy, like hammocks and a wheel and a basic set-up, so now she just needs to decide between 2-3 girls or a single male. Are male mice generally calmer and more affectionate than females?

Honestly, I think it totally depends on the mouse. But honestly, mice are rarely ever affectionate or really calm. ( Not saying never, as I know some mice are sweethearts)

I guess affectionate was the wrong word. I tried to convince her to get rats, but I think they would be too much work for her. Thank you for the advice!
