First, should guinea pigs always have hay avilable? Second, does anyone know of a place where I can get colorplast cheaply in st. Louis? Thanks! Sorry got a pig and though I know the basics (sort of) still need a LOT of help. :)

Yes, gpigs should have a hay 24/7 and should never go without. That should be their main diet. They should only have like 1/4th cup of pellets a day (something like that, you might google to double check the measument). And fresh veggies make a great treat. On the coroplast, I havent got any suggestions on that area specifically, but check sign shops, places that print signs/banners they might have some for cheaper than places like home depot.

I think you can give veggies everyday, but not very often or very much because it will make their poops runny/messy. :P

I'm subscribed to a lot of guinea pig you tubers and I just saw this video from piggieigpigs. It has lots of great info in it. Its her daily routine with g-pigs. :)

A pig? Only one? Just like rats, guinea pigs need a companion of their own kind.

I know, she has been alone for three years and I am hoping (as soon as she has a cage big enough for herself, much less anotherpig) to get her a froend. Only promble is I don't want to end up with two pigs who don't like each other. :-\
