Rest in Peace, Pyp (~2/14/15-6/5/17)
« on: June 05, 2017, 12:37:44 PM »
My little man's spirit wasn't ready yet, but his body was giving up. I will miss my dumbo-eared food-grabbing rattie boy greatly.

I got him (and his brother, who he didn't like very much :yelcutelaugh:) the day before Easter in 2015.

Shortly after that (and after Grenn found a home with ratties who didn't want to attack him), I had some huge life changes that left me kind of an emotional wreck for a while. He was with me throughout this and let me cry to him and gave me kisses (which made me feel infinitely better). He was always happy to cheer me up with silly antics, food-stealing, and snuggles.

Did I mention the food?

He truly loved food.

He also loved grooming me and was more than happy to "help" me get that "stuff" off my nails :yelcutelaugh:

He was patient enough for hats (as long as there was food involved).

And did I mention the food? He got every treat imaginable the past two days, including some of my birthday cake (carrot with cream cheese icing).

When I woke up this morning and offered him a little pancake and jelly that he nibbled then walked away from, I knew it was time. We had good snuggles all morning, then I held him and stroked his head just like he liked while the vet helped him across the bridge.

I will miss my little man.

I'm so sorry!   He was a great little guy, and utterly adorable.  You were blessed to have each other. Take care of yourself.  I hope it's not going to be too rough without him.
