New Babies!
« on: July 23, 2017, 06:42:37 PM »
A little over a month ago, I had to have my last two rats, Wreck-It Ralph and Fix-It Felix, euthanized. This left me ratless for the first time in 17 years.

After a few days of sleepless nights and crying every time I saw that big empty cage, I submitted an application to Rattie Ratz and was told that they had a few litters, but that the babies would not be weaned and ready for a few weeks. Well the long wait is finally over and a volunteer dropped my new boys off yesterday.

Meet Scotty Smalls (hoodie) and Yeah-Yeah (PEW)!

They were both born on June 14th, but they are not brothers. I'm so in love!
Owned by two cats (Tiny Tim and Jasper) and two rats (Wreck-It Ralph and Fix-It Felix, Jr.)

Aren't they adorable!  What cuties!  CongRATulations!

I know what you mean about the empty cage.  When I got back from the hospital last year, I had trouble sleeping at night without the animals rummaging around.  Once the ratties and the chins came home, I started sleeping much better at night.  Here's to happy cages with rambunctious ratties!
What is a rat?  King-sized love in a pint-sized package.

Indeed, BigBen could never sleep without the dried-raisins-churning-in-the-wodent-wheel lullaby.
