Talking In His Sleep?????
« on: December 08, 2017, 06:19:48 PM »
So Tobi has picked up a new habit. Occasionally, while he's sleeping, he "talks". It's a higher sound than what Zucchini makes when she's excited. Which is ironic seeing as Zucchini is my smallest rat and Tobi is the biggest. Today I had just gotten home and when I opened the bedroom door I heard the "talking". I was instantly worried, because it sounds like soft squeaking. I thought someone was in pain. Nope. Tobi was just curled up in a hide with Irish. Is this normal or something to worry about?  :help:

I'm always worried that odd breathing noises could be a respiratory issue, so I'd bring him to the vet.

I have rat phoned him and his lungs sound normal.

Keep an eye on it, it may just be nasal, but these can turn into infections that go into the lungs and cause serious problems.
