Medicine Doses
« on: June 22, 2019, 11:15:05 PM »
Iím not good at mathing. Got a friend with a 15.5oz female rat with uri and we live in a small town with one terrible vet (that I personally donít trust).

What dosages of baytril and doxy we looking at for her?

This particular vet premeasures the meds in syringes and theyíre tiny amounts. He does not put any information about the medication on them.. concentration, etc.

Do you already have the Baytril and doxy? Are they in liquid or pill form? If they're liquid, does the bottle say how many mg/ml?  If they're pills, how many mg are in each pill? If you're unsure of these numbers, can you post links to where you ordered them?

*edit* I'm seeing that it's possible that the medication has already been mixed in some sort of suspension. If this is the case, you'd have to ask your vet how many milligrams of medicine are in each milliliter of liquid (mg/ml). Without this number, there's no way of knowing how much to give your rat.
